Essence: Love · Mortality · Eternity
An elderly woman leans into eternity, kissing her deceased husband’s skull. It is not morbid, but a vow carried beyond flesh: to love in life, to remain in death. The kiss becomes a bridge — fragile skin meeting bone, presence colliding with absence, devotion clashing with decay.
The three-layer construction deepens the symbolism: each surface acts as a ghost of the other, collapsing body, memory, and shadow into a single, trembling plane. The painting becomes an oath — not of romance, but of eternal recognition.
Part of the Viscerism movement: raw black-and-white, street-inspired, stripping illusion to reveal the sacred wound beneath. Love and death mirror each other; one always carries the other’s scent.
